Jacobs was a performer since age eight, and she was a student at the Saturday class of Pittsburgh Playhouse. Following her graduation from Mt. Jacobs and graduating in 2000 from Lebanon High School, she moved to New York City New York where she studied at The Juilliard School. She graduated in 2004 with an undergraduate degree.
